The Element Key Jam Session, is a co-created experience of playfulness, connection, and creative expression. A trained facilitator guides the session and introduces everyone to the concepts at the beginning. During the main part of the session, a system of hand signals—based on the five elements—allows the avatar (conductor), who is chosen anew each round, to guide the participants and the “skills” they bring to the circle. This creates a temporary work of art from everyone’s voices, instruments, (dance) movements, and paintings. After a few rounds—during which everyone has the opportunity to be the Avatar—we conclude the Jam Session with a final reflection round.
