My name is Josua, and I was born in 1992 in Friedrichroda, a small village in central Germany. I am the eldest of five siblings and by now an uncle to 4 nieces and nephews.

The beginning of a more conscious exploration of myself was a crisis at the end of my MSc program in 2019. At the time, I failed to meet my own high standards and was confronted for the first time with the fact that my usual coping strategies were no longer working.

Since then, a number of somatic mindfulness practices and relational experiences have been and continue to be part of my path. Among those are conscious dancing and Gopal’s Honest Sharing, a stay at the Hochgrat Clinic for Psychotherapy, a love relationship, my training as an “Embodiment Coach” and “NARM-informed professional,” a local Men’s Circle and the Conscious Touch Circle, as well as my own trauma therapy with Somatic Experiencing, IoPT, and NARM.

In summary, one could say that I first became aware of my “disembodiment” and, as my body awareness increased, my “disconnectedness.” This was often painful. I am grateful to all the people who have accompanied me through this time and continue to do so.

Professionally, I’ve held various day jobs in the years since finishing my studies. I first worked for a nonprofit organization and then as a freelance language teacher and city tour guide. There was also a period when I worked as a waiter and as 1:1 assistant to a child in school.

My journey as a trauma-sensitive coach and process facilitator with NARM began in 2025. Applying what I learned in the trainings is incredibly exciting and insightful. I am thankful for the personal and professional support of my supervisors, teachers, and peers enabling me to walk this path with curiousity.
